Surgery Tomorrow!!

I can't believe that this time tomorrow I will be in surgery, and hopefully almost done. How long does it take to wake up from the anesthesia? Hopefully not long, because I can't wait to start heeling and see the results! I'm not looking forward to the first few days, but whatcha going to do. They'll go by fast.

Yesterday way my dad's birthday so I went over to my parent's house for the birthday festivities, then I headed on over to game night. Last game night for a couple weeks! I got to see all my friends one last time before tomorrow and everyone has been wishing me well, which is really nice. It's so great to know that I have people thinking of me; it makes goings though all this less stressful.

This morning I had my surgical hooks put on and they aren't bad at all. I've read some blogs where people have a rough time with them, but I've actually had hooks on almost all my brackets for the past year, so adding a few more wasn't that bad.

It's so hard to think of everything I need before tomorrow. I still need to pack, and I think my mom and I are going to go shopping a little later.

I'm hydrating now so tomorrow isn't rough!!!

peace and love. Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be back in a few days with pictures!!!

  1. Good luck tomorrow! You've got lots of prayers coming your way from Maryland! :)

Be prepared not to see results right away- you'll be too busy looking like one of those kids from an airheads commercial whose head turned into a watermelon. The profile difference will be apparent in a few days and it's really exciting to see! But your face won't settle in for a while. I hated the way I looked for a while and was so scared I was going to stay that way, but now I'm feeling much better about it. So don't freak out like I did ;)

By the way, I hope you enjoyed Inception as much as I did! It was soooo good!

  2. Hi there-
It took a couple hours for me to wake from the anesthesia, but it had me messed up the whole first night. Wasn't fun at all (sorry to be so blunt). BUT everyone is different so hopefully you handle the anesthesia better than I did!

    Best wishes and Good luck!!!

Btw - Who is your surgeon? I had mine done in Austin. Just wondering if we're got the same guy...

  3. Dr. Widner. He's the best! Hope I don't have a hard time with the anesthesia but we'll see! I can't imagine the first night being fun regardless.

  4. Cool...not the same guy though, not that really matters, Austin has a lot of awesome doctors...and I'd agrue that my doc is the best! ;)

You are going do GREAT! And it'll all be over before ya know it!
